Day 1 here at the iconic Bikernieku Trase was pure madness from start to finish. From neck a neck qualifying runs to heroic moments of sportsmanship, shakeups and an absolutely unhinged Showdown Final, Riga delivered in every sense of the word.⁠

Having kicked off the 2024 Drift Masters season last month in sunny Spain, the championship made a return to action this weekend in Mondello Park for Round 2, and when the dust had settled here in Ireland, it would be Irish wildcard driver, James Deane who would be the one heading home happiest as he rounded out a perfect weekend overall, taking top spot on today’s podium, having topped Qualifying and won the Qualifying Showdown yesterday on day one.

After an incredibly dramatic opening day at Round 1 of the 2024 Drift Masters season yesterday at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain, today picked up where yesterday left off, as Estonian driver Kevin Pesur finished another unpredictable day the happiest 1, taking home his first ever Drift Masters event win, setting himself up nicely for the 2024 championship chase.
